Early this month, Hollywood Entrepreneurs Becki Stewart and Ann Kiliona announced the opening of The City Market, an indoor market located in the Harrison Court Retail–Office complex.
The City Market provides an opportunity for market vendors to promote and sell their goods in a retail environment as well as participate in The City Market online retail Web site. Additionally, the indoor market is a place for South Floridians to shop for a variety of organic, handmade, fresh items.
“We are ecstatic to open the doors to The City Market and invite everyone to stop by and take a look,” said Stewart. “The market is essentially an incubator for small vendors to cultivate their businesses at a cost well below that of retail start up while enjoying the fun market-like atmosphere in which we provide.”
The space, located at 2028 Harrison St., is designed to resemble a city market but is found within an indoor, air conditioned space. Market vendors will consist of local small business entrepreneurs who either make their own goods, such as soaps, clothing, organic items, healthy foods and doggie treats, or sell organic produce and plants, similar to what one would see at an outdoor farmers market.
