Caron Conway has been writing for various South Florida publications since 1984 and served as editor-in-chief of the former Beach Digest newspaper. She also has a public relations consulting business and manages her son's five-piece standards band, Shawn de Salazar & The Pack Rats, which performs at private, corporate and community events throughout the tri-county area.

A graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans with a bachelor's degree in English, Caron is the author of two published mystery novels for young readers and several screenplays and stage plays. One of her plays was locally produced and another was recognized as a finalist in an international play writing competition.

Caron is a member of the Hall-Hill Performing Arts (HHPA) alumni association and the Broward County Fair, where she emcees the annual Talent Competition. A native Floridian, she enjoys traveling and crafts, and is an avid collector of mermaid art and an unabashed reality TV and "true crime" junkie.

But her true passions are her sons Shawn, 20, and Tyler, 12. Caron and her family live in Davie with their two dogs and two cats.
