The American Board, a non-profit dedicated to recruiting and certifying community-based teachers in Florida will host a public event on how local residents can become certified Florida teachers. Attendees will learn what to expect in a career as a teacher and receive advisement on a personalized path to certification. Florida Teacher Certification Specialist Lauren Schubel will lead the event. Sessions begin Thursday, August 23 at 11 am and 12:30 pm at the Comfort Inn, 6631 Palmetto Circle South in Ft. Lauderdale.
