 Voices for Children of Broward County, a not-for-profit organization that supports the efforts of the Guardian ad Litem program, is hosting “An Alluring Afternoon,” a fundraiser aboard Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Allure of the Seas. The event takes place at Port Everglades on Sunday, November 4, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Guests will enjoy an auction and raffle before being seated in the ship’s main dining room for lunch, where they will learn more about Voices for Children and the Guardian ad Litem program. Following lunch, the ship and its activities, such as zip lining, simulated surfing (Flo Rider), table tennis, basketball, rock climbing and swimming, will be available for attendees to explore. In addition, Royal Caribbean will offer an open bar throughout the afternoon. General Guest tickets are $100 per person. For those looking to have a special experience, Voices for Children offers two VIP ticket levels – the Captain’s ticket for $175 per person, allowing guests to dine at the Captain’s Table, and the Behind the Scenes Tour ticket for $200 per person, providing an exclusive ship tour and early boarding. Voices for Children of Broward County is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation founded in 2011 that assists abused, abandoned and neglected children in Broward County. The organization raises funds for the Guardian ad Litem program, which trains community volunteers who work one-on-one with children in the dependency system. The volunteers advise judges on the children’s progress and make recommendations for placements and permanency. The goal of Voices for Children is to ensure every child in the dependency system is assigned a Guardian ad Litem.
