 Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory presents the student production of the family-friendly musical, Hairspray. The 1950's are out and change is in the air! Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray is piled bouffant high with laughter, romance, and deliriously tuneful songs. It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire -- to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network, all without denting her 'do! Showtimes are Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at 7:00 P.M. and Sunday, March 24 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chaminade-Madonna Café located at 500 East Chaminade Drive in Hollywood. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens (proper I.D. required). Tickets may only be purchased at the door.
