Gold’s Gym Miami Lakes Food Drive Hialeah, Fl: Starting on March 1st, Gold’s Gym Miami Lakes is sponsoring a two-week food drive at its 16357 NW 57th Ave location in Hialeah, Fl. Members and neighbors alike are invited to contribute non-perishable food items to the worthy cause of hunger eradication. As an added incentive, Gold’s Gym is offering 20% off all items at the juice bar for anyone who brings in a donation. In South Florida, one million people worry where their next meal will come from every single day. One out of four children eats once at school and goes to bed hungry at night. Hunger is a national problem, but South Floridians feel its effects more acutely than many others. At the conclusion of the food drive, Hollywood-based Crown Relocations will pick up all donated food items and transport them to Feeding South Florida food bank. Last year, Feeding South Florida distributed over 30 million pounds of food to those in need. Feeding South Florida is an indispensable community resource for hungry children, senior citizens, and everyone in-between. “Gold’s Gym demonstrates how big companies can still have big hearts,” says Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger. “We are proud to stand behind their efforts to support Feeding South Florida and strengthen their local community.” ### Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies across North America to pick up unwanted, unopened food from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks.
