Construction work is taking place on roads in Hollywood that will result in ramp closures from 11 p.m. – 5 a.m. 

The entrance ramp from Hollywood Boulevard to northbound I-95 will be closed as needed and traffic will be detoured Sunday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installation of street lights.  During this closure drivers who want to go north on I-95 from Hollywood Boulevard should go south on I-95 to Pembroke Road and east on Pembroke Road to the northbound I-95 entrance ramp.

The exit ramp from northbound I-95 to Hollywood Boulevard will be closed as needed and traffic will be detoured Sunday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for installation of new light poles. During this closure, drivers going north on I-95 who want to exit at Hollywood Boulevard should continue north to Sheridan Street, go west on Sheridan Street to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp and south on I-95 to exit at Hollywood Boulevard.

The entrance ramp from Sheridan Street to northbound I-95 will be closed as needed and traffic will be detoured Sunday through Thursday from 11 p.m.to 5 a.m. for roadwork.  During this closure, drivers who want to go north on I-95 from Sheridan Street should go south on I-95 to Hollywood Boulevard and east on Hollywood Boulevard to the northbound I-95 entrance ramp.

The exit ramp from southbound I-95 to Sheridan Street will be closed as needed and traffic will be detoured Sunday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for roadwork. During this closure, drivers going south on I-95 who want to exit at Sheridan Street should continue south on I-95 to Hollywood Boulevard, go east on Hollywood Boulevard to the northbound I-95 entrance ramp and north on I-95 to exit at Sheridan Street.

Hollywood residents can also expect single lane closures during in February due to construction work from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If necessary, flaggers will direct traffic. The following areas will be affected:

N. 56 Ave. from Douglas St. to Oak Lake Park Entrance 

Sheridan St. from NW 70 Terr. to 66 Ave.

Sherman St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Thomas St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Lee St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Scott St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Coolidge St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Harding St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 /  Federal Hwy.

Wilson St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 /  Federal Hwy.

Taft St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Roosevelt St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Cleveland St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 / Federal Hwy.

Arthur St. from N 20 Ave. to US 1 /  Federal Hwy. 

This is part of a larger project. The Florida Department of Transportation has awarded a $15 million contract to Construct Group Corp. for the construction of sidewalks, multi-use pedestrian paths, and bicycle lanes along 48 roadways in Broward County. 

Construction work will take place near the West Hollywood Shopping Plaza

Residents and people visiting the area near the West Hollywood Shopping Plaza can expect noise and vibration from construction work.

The installation of steel sheet piling will take place in the area surrounding the newly excavated drainage pond behind the West Hollywood Shopping Plaza at the southwest corner of the State Road Seven and  US 441 intersection.

Work began Monday, February 2 and is expected to be completed this month. This activity is noisy and causes vibration. These conditions will be monitored by the project team to ensure that they are in accordance with vibration standards and local noise ordinances to minimize inconvenience to local residents and businesses.  

People who live in or own property within a few hundred feet of the construction zone will probably hear and feel the effects of vibrating and operating construction equipment. Project personnel surveyed properties within 200 feet of sheet pile driving operations to assess and document the pre-construction condition of existing structures. 

Project personnel will monitor vibration during construction to ensure safe levels and specifications are not exceeded.  The condition of existing structures will also be monitored and reassessed upon completion of the sheet pile installation.
