Free art event set for May 30th Downtown Hollywood

On May 30th from 7 – 10 p.m. Runas/Hemingway’s Lounge (219 N. 21st Ave—Dixie Highway and Polk) will  showcase art exhibits from local artists and feature live performances.

Artists and performers include:

Daniel Pontet (Hollywood’s internationally known Impulse Art maven) will expand his “canvas” to include the body of New York fashion model Angelica Prendez.

Sculptor/Muralist Lorena Basualdo (whose works grace the Delray Court House, Versace Mansion and Soyka in Miami) will present underwater themed watercolors (her first public exhibit in the medium).

Cindy Podgorski will debut her skills and showcase her emerging artist status with a series of diverse paintings done in acrylic on a variety of surfaces.

Art Basel Week favorites UOM (Daniel Fiorda and Eduardo Balerdi) and their eclectic experimental sound will provide the audio texture and inspiration for Pontet, while local legend Larry Joe Miller will be pulling double-duty—exhibiting both Figure Studies while playing the Theremin with UOM.

The event is hosted by writer/art impresario Kent Wallace and sponsored by Justin Del Sesto: www.ItalianTourism.us / Noelia Rosas: Mary Kay / Chef Cornel Ruhland / Cristina Moinelo: CBA-Reality / Cesar Nieves: Chondro Paw / Maria Teresa Bach: Beach Front Reality Inc. / Mario Marinoni: M&M Catering Chefs
