Local Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Names New Alumni Coordinator

Missy Pollack

American Addiction Centers (AAC) and Recovery First Treatment Center have named Missy Pollack as the new alumni coordinator in the South Florida region.  She will be based in the Hollywood location for the Las Vegas based corporation.

The alumni coordinator position is designed to help clients post-treatment and is extremely important in the after care process of drug and alcohol treatment.  The position is designed to give support, and education and to aid clients as they conclude treatment and enter back into society.

AAC has lowered average relapse rates for their clients by up to 20 percent by creating this role designed to help clients with post-treatment life.

Pollack has a mission for people everywhere to understand their worth. She wants to further her goal and to cement herself as a fixture in the South Florida recovery community. Prior to joining the alumni team, Pollack held positions in both marketing and advertising, and received a degree in communications from the University of Florida. Today, she celebrates multiple years in recovery, and looks forward to advocating for others so they can experience the same freedom from addiction.

“We are truly excited to add Missy Pollack to the AAC Alumni team,” said Nicole Vasquez, alumni manager. “South Florida is a region of the United States that has a particular need for strong recovery avocation. She is the right person for the job and we believe she can make a positive change both with our clients and within the community.”

Recovery First Treatment Center is an American Addiction Centers facility located at 4110 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, FL 33024. AAC is a leading provider of inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment services. For more information, call (954) 526-5776 or visit americanaddictioncenters.org
