Hollywood High Student Rona Silber is a Holiday Happiness Helper

Hollywood Hills High School student Rona Silber wanted to do something special this holiday season for kids who were struggling with HIV and AIDS. So she started a group called Kidz 4 A Cure and became the volunteer coordinator, and led an effort to collect children’s toys.

At an event that came to be known as the Gift Wrapping Party, a group of students each picked a gift for a specific child, wrapped it, made holiday cards and wrote notes to the children.

“I love helping these children,” said Rona.

Silber is also on the Executive Board for the Hollywood Hills High School Parent Teacher Student Organization where she is vice president for membership.
