Former Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau Vice President Carlos Molinet has been named General Manager of the soon-to-open Costa Hollywood Beach Resort, and Jeffrey Peterson has been named Director of Sales and Marketing. The newly-built oceanfront hotel featuring 307 rooms and suites, is set to open this spring.
Both Molinet and Peterson come to the Costa with impressive resumes in the travel and hospitality industries. Molinet, who will oversee all operational aspects of Costa Hollywood Beach Resort, was previously Senior Vice President of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, with oversight of operations, sales and marketing enterprises. He has also served as General Manager of several top brands, including Hilton, Hyatt, Wyndham and The Westin, in addition to roles as President/CEO of Molinet Institute and Director of Operations for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels.
With 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Peterson will be responsible for generating overall revenue for Costa Hollywood through marketing and promotions initiatives. He previously was Director of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale and Surfcomber South Beach, as well as Area Director of Travel Industry Sales for EPIC Miami, Surfcomber and Vero Beach Hotel & Spa. Peterson also filled sales and marketing roles at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, DoubleTree Guest Suites and DoubleTree Oceanfront Hotel.
