Return to the Glamour of the ’20s at The Hollywood Women’s Club Speakeasy II on March 23

The Hollywood Women’s Club will return its beloved and historic 1927 clubhouse to a glimmer of its original splendor for Speakeasy II, taking place on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:30-9:30 pm.

Guests will arrive and take photos with the antique cars on display; then enter the clubhouse which will be filled with period décor and games. Entertainment will be provided by pianist Fritzie Gaccione, and a live auction will feature two American Airline Tickets, Dessert of the Month, a wood bar, dinner and theater tickets and more. At the end of the live auction, guests will be asked to Buy a Bike for the Women’s Club’s Holiday Bicycle Drive for the Hollywood Public Schools.  A new highlight of the event is the outdoor Cigar Bar.

“Special events are critical to the Club’s funding and provide the ability to not only serve our community but to continue the ongoing restoration of the Clubhouse,” said Meg Donoghue and Shelly DeMarco, chairpersons of the event.

Speakeasy II sponsors to date include the Community Service Foundation of Broward County, Home Instead Senior Care, and Keyes Realty.  Sponsorships are still available.  Please call Meg at 847-840-5430 or Shelly at 954-854-4998.

Fun games include Spin the Wheel, Ring Toss, Lucky’s Lost Loot, and Drawin’ Juice from the Joint. Dress is 1920’s optional. Tickets include a special cocktail, as well as beer and wine and great food.  Tickets also include entry into two games. Tickets are $65 per person until March 19 and $75 after.  To purchase tickets, go to hollywoodwomensclub.org/event/speakeasy/
