It will be an opportunity to honor both the departed and the survivors of the Holocaust when Temple Sinai and Temple Solel of Hollywood present a special Yom HaShoah program on Wednesday, April 11 at Temple Sinai.

The program includes a presentation about the history of the Third Reich and how the Nazis perpetrated their crimes. The presentation and the audience will honor member survivors, next generation and the memories of many marginalized communities.  The program will feature a performance by members of the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. Rabbi Noah Kitty, Congregation Etz Chaim, Wilton Manors and Father Joe Spina OSF, of the Franciscan Order at Sts. Francis & Clare will memorialize the millions of LGBT, Gypsies and other marginalized communities as well as the clergy and Righteous Among the Nations who risked their lives to save Jews from the Nazis.

The free program will be held at Temple Sinai of Hollywood, 1400 N. 46 Avenue in Hollywood, 33021.  The event begins at 7 pm on April 11.  Light refreshments will be served.
