Hollywood to Develop Master Plan for Parks

Hollywood residents will soon see improvements to city parks.

The City of Hollywood is in the process of creating a master plan for various park improvements. During a recent meeting, the Commission agreed to a resolution set to negotiate and execute an agreement with the highest ranked firm for the creation of a parks master plan.

“We have an opportunity to look at all park operations and see what could be done better,” said Mayor Josh Levy. “It will be a year and a half process. As always parks are fun things and we want to see what the community wants to see with parks.”

Hollywood leaders will determine what type of recreational opportunities are incorporated in parks. They will determine the types of amenities built and cultural opportunities. Some members of the public believe that the parks need to be modernized and improved.
