Broward College Substitute Teacher Orientation
When: November 30
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Where: A. Hugh Adams Central Campus – 3501 SW Davie Road, Davie, FL. Building 1008 Room 105
To help fill the growing shortage of substitute teachers, Broward College is hosting a Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) substitute orientation on November 30 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The one-day event allows Broward College students who have completed 60 credit hours to become a fully certified BCPS substitute teacher.
The orientation will prepare Broward College students to meet the day-to-day challenges of substitute teaching.
Registration is open until the day of the event.
Attendance at a substitute-training course such as this is required to be certified as a BCPS substitute teacher. Currently, BCPS only partners with the Broward College Education Pathway to offer this exclusive training.
The event is open to the media and interview opportunities are available with the representative from BCPS, Broward College faculty and students.
